The model Sofía Jirau conquered this Wednesday for the second time the San Juan Moda runway as part of the fashion show of designer Juan Carlos Collazo.
Her appearance on the prestigious runway came in the midst of her new campaign "Sin Límites" (Without Limits), which was launched last October 7, to raise awareness about the Down syndrome community.
"I am very excited to model once again at San Juan Moda. I know there are many girls with Down syndrome who dream of modeling and I want to show them that there are no limits. Everything is possible," said Jirau, who noted that as part of her preparation for the fashion show she took runway classes and trained at the gym.
Meanwhile, Collazo said he was pleased with Jirau's participation as part of his fashion show. "I feel very happy. It is the first time I work with Sofia Jirau and it is a real honor for me to work with her," said Collazo.
Jirau, who said that her next goal is to conquer the catwalks of Europe next year, emphasized that she not only seeks to fulfill her goals, but has embraced the mission of making visible the challenges faced by her community and demonstrating that they have the ability to make their dreams come true.
During the month of October, the international ambassador for the Down syndrome community will have multiple public appearances in local and international media to promote her campaign "Sin Límites" (Without Limits).
